Planate Management Group is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, USA with a technical support center in the Philippines that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies.

The Project Manager will represent the government in reviewing, coordinating and administering the design and construction projects within Grand Canyon National Park (GRCA).

This position is contingent to the award of the contract. The period of performance is one year from awarding.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing simple-to-complex, multi-disciplinary design and construction projects
  • Serves as the technical point of contact for assigned projects, cradle to crave execution and completion of assigned tasks
  • Ensures compliance, quality, scope, budget and programming criteria are maintained
  • Assist in refining project scope, schedules, budget, firm selection and appropriate level of quality
  • Provide technical assistance on project feasibility, construction impacts, constructability issues and participates in value analysis workshops
  • Review design plans, project specifications and attend team meetings

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

  • Background in landscape architecture, architecture, general engineering or construction management
  • Able to manage a large construction project and must be knowledgeable in project management
  • Able to apply judgment to critical issues and problems
  • Willing to travel for on-site inspections, investigations and meetings
  • Work requires outdoor trips, weather extremes, varied topography and physical demands
