Planate Management Group is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agenciesall over the world.

The Technical Writer shall be responsible for developing and producing an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) guidebook that will serve as operation instructions of the entire IMS Program.

The work of the assignment will be at Washington DC and contingent on the award of the contract.

Key responsibilities:

  • Determine the needs of end-users, plan, gather relevant information, analyze documents, references, and conduct interviews with technical staff and IMS team
  • Organize files in the designated VA database(s)
  • Analyze data and provide reports
  • Provide technical support for establishing guidelines for document formatting
  • Provide recommendations for automating and/or streamlining current technical writing processes
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications To be successful in the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business or related subjects Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the engineering and construction industry
  • Must have construction management and relevant experience to perform a similar task in engineering and construction projects
  • Must lawfully reside in the United States and be eligible for employment (Planate does not sponsor visas or work permits)
