Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center in the South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

The Program Manager will be responsible for overall planning, coordination and interactions with key federal entities Task Order Managers, subcontractor/team members. This is to support the DiPSS IDIQ projects of the Department of State. 

The work assignment will be based at Washington, DC. This is contingent on the award of the contract.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and develop Program Management Plans to support overall execution of IDIQ
  • Develop strategies, coordination efforts to evaluate IDIQ Task Order requirements including proposal efforts, contract negotiations, recruiting of personnel, risk assessments, deployment, Quality Assurance, configuration management, program budget, invoicing, contract compliance
  • Interface and coordinate with different offices of the Department of State, subcontractor/team members along with other federal agencies.
  • Provide support for interaction with HR, Finance, Contracts and Task Order managers
  • Provide support for external affairs, strategic planning, and executive correspondence review
  • Develop and maintain mechanisms to track IDIQ budgets
  • Coordinate equipment, training, planning, analyses, and support requirements with Task Order Managers
  • Maintain project schedules and prepare briefing documents
  • Assist in coordinating program reviews, site visits, and/or field tests as required
  • Coordinate and schedule Program Reviews
  • Coordinate staff meetings and prepare draft meeting agendas, and meeting minutes
  • Monitor and track status of action items and issues assigned at the weekly staff meeting and provide status reports

Qualification to be successful in the role:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or other related fields
  • Experience in supporting the Department of State or other federal agencies in the Middle East, South Central Asia environments
  • Management experience in execution of IDIQ (over $100M) desired
  • Management experience in coordinating multiple subcontractors and worldwide workforce
  • Excellent oral communication, interpersonal, and technical writing skills
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to develop implement and maintain paper and computer-based tools for scheduling, tracking and reporting data
  • Strong work ethic and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment; flexible and quickly adaptable to changing priorities
  • Resourceful, Self-reliant, Self-motivated
  • Must have secret clearance (Top Secret Desired)
  • PMP Desired or required to pursue after onboarding
  • Must lawfully reside in the United States and be eligible for employment (Planate does not sponsor visas or work permits)
