Planate Management Group is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, USA with a technical support center in the Philippines that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies.

The BD Assistant will be reporting under the Capture Team, the Business Development Assistant will be responsible for driving lead generation and qualifications of all projects that Planate Management Group can offer. S/he will ensure the timely and consistent delivery of company’s core capabilities and solutions to meet the client’s goals and mission. S/he will be the lead administrator for potential and existing clients and ascertain that they remain satisfied with the company’s brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily market research to identify new business development opportunities where Planate has a strong and unique geographic presence using opportunity qualifications guide and other learning materials given
  • Assisting Capture Team in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers via email, phone, and in some instances, in-person
  • Coordinating and arranging client events, meetings, appointments, and conferences
  • Assisting with the preparation of presentations and pitches for prospective clients
  • Coordinating with Marketing Team in creating and maintaining client databases and mail lists
  • Providing effect Business Development administrative support
  • Coordinating other BD duties as required.

Qualifications To be successful in the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or any relevant field of study
  • Two-four years of professional experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Can multitask and be flexible when requirements and tasks change
  • Must be able to compose original correspondence, compile, coordinate and prepare documents
  • Must follow strict guidelines and processes
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge and use of SharePoint desired
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Must be flexible with the working hours in US.
